Wooden Chalets and Tents
Stay in a self-catering wooden chalet or a luxury tent. Chalets have two bedrooms, two bathrooms, an indoor and outdoor shower, and a full kitchen with an oven and refrigerator. The large furnished verandah offers lake and mountain views. Tents include a cooking area and a fire-pit braai, with an outdoor bathroom that lets you shower in nature.
Homemade Breakfast, Self-Catering
There is no restaurant on site, so you need to bring your own food. Angelique delivers a homemade breakfast each morning: fresh fruit, cheese, prosciutto, croissants, pancakes, and cheesecake. If you go out early, she packs a breakfast for you. Dinners can be requested in advance.
Birdwatching, Hiking, Cycling
The 80-hectare reserve is for guests only. A 3 km walking trail crosses the property. Make use of the bird viewing platforms to spot species like the Knysna warbler. Owner Tim provides guided birdwatching walks. You can also rent bicycles to explore the surroundings. The property offers BBQ facilities and a garden terrace.
Adjacent to Lakes, Near Wilderness
The reserve borders Rondevlei and Langevlei, two RAMSAR lakes. Wilderness National Park is a 24-minute drive away. Wilderness town and beaches are 10 km from the property. George Airport is 50 km away. The access road is a dirt track currently being upgraded.
